The elected officials of the City of Edgewater consist of the City Council, which include four council members and the mayor. The City of Edgewater operates under a Council-Manager form of government. There is one council person from each district within the City, each Council person serves a four-year term. The mayor serves a four-year term. The City Council constitutes the governing body with powers to pass ordinances, adopt regulations and appoint a Chief Administrative Officers known as the City Manager, the City Clerk, and the City Attorney. Regular City Council meetings are scheduled for the 1st Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 104 N. Riverside Drive. Additional meetings may be scheduled throughout the year for special meetings and workshops.
