General Accounting

Purpose:

General Accounting is responsible for insuring accuracy and completeness in the processing and reporting of the City’s financial transactions. The group assists both external parties and internal City departments with questions, procedures, and concerns associated with the areas of responsibility listed below.    

Areas of Responsibility:

Preparation of Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR). Last five years reports can be accessed from this page below.

  • Annual financial audit coordination with external auditors
  • Updating daily cash receipts
  • Monthly general ledger closing
  • Debt Administration
  • Investment Administration o Fixed Asset Administration
  • Miscellaneous required reporting
