Online Permitting

 

Digital submittal is available for all permit types. This means you can apply for, remit payment and print permits without ever coming to the permitting office! A digital seal may be required for plans or other documents that have been stamped/seal by a licensed professional when submitting via email.

All of our Building Department forms can be found on our Forms and Applications tab. Permit applications and all other required paperwork should be submitted to the buildingdept@cityofedgewater.org email.

After an application is submitted, our permit technicians will review the submittal and let the applicant know of deficiencies or if any additional documents or information is needed. If everything is submitted properly then the permit application will be submitted for review. After a permit has been reviewed and approved, someone from the Building Department will notify the applicant. Payment can be made using the same link that is used to schedule an inspection; the Schedule an Inspection tab. Once payment is made and processed, the permit placard and cover sheet will be emailed to the email that is on file for the contractor/property owner. These items are sent out the following business day after payment has been made.
