STREET DEPARTMENT DIVISION OPERATIONS
Edgewater’s Street Department crew is responsible for the year-round maintenance of:
240 lane miles of city streets, this includes filling potholes
Mowing and trim various right-of-ways
Trimming trees within the right-of-way and on city properties
Maintains 25 barricades
309 stop signs
449 street name signs
357 other directional signs such as speed, children at play, curve, etc.
21 miles of sidewalks
Street markings and replace when needed: i.e. stop bars.
The Street Department crew assists other Public Works Divisions when needed. This crew is on standby during any hurricane/natural disaster and is on call all year around for any emergency that may need to be addressed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
