Water Restrictions

Watering Restrictions—Daylight Saving Time

Effective March 11, 2012

Mandatory lawn watering restrictions specify the days when you may water. These days depend on whether you have an odd or even numbered address, and the time of year. The following restrictions apply to private well and potable water (city water).

WATERING DAYS:
Homes with odd numbered addresses: WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY
Homes with even numbered address: THURSDAY & SUNDAY
Nonresidential Properties: TUESDAY & FRIDAY

Only water when needed and NOT between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Water no more than three-fourths inch or one hour per zone.

If you should have any questions about watering restrictions please contact the Department of Environmental Services at 386-424-2476.

“INCREASE RECLAIMED CUSTOMER INITIATIVE RESOLUTION”

At the City Council Meeting of September 28, 2009, the City Council approved Resolution #2009-R-24 enacting the "Increase Reclaimed Customer Initiative". In an effort to encourage residents to utilize the reclaimed water system and reduce effluent discharge from the Wastewater Treatment Plant into the Indian River Lagoon the resolution authorizes the abatement of reclaimed water impact fees, adjusts the connection fee and reduces the reclaimed water rates. At the September 27, 2010 City Council meeting, authorization to extend this resolution for an additional year was approved.
