CPR Class Information
Which class is right for me?
FAMILY & FRIENDS - Targets all lay rescuers, such as school children, family members of
patients at risk of sudden cardiac death, and other lay persons who want to learn rescue skills for
loved ones.
HEARTSAVER - Teaches Chain of Survival, CPR & FOREGIN BODY AIRWAY OBSTRUCTION techniques
to lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in the workplace, such
as security guards, police officers, child care providers and other lay rescuers. The course is
specifically designed for lay rescuers who are required to obtain a course completion card documenting
completion of a CPR course.
HEALTHCARE PROVIDER - Designed to teach in-depth Chain of Survival and AED techniques to
healthcare providers or individuals that are requested to take a healthcare course for employment.
It is intended for participants who provide healthcare to patients in a wide variety of setting and
may include physicians, dentists, nurses, nursing students and other health personnel.
