Edgewater Fire Rescue Department
Babysitting Class
Hello and welcome to the American Safety & Health Institute’s Children and Babysitting Safety Program, taught
by the Edgewater Department of Fire & Rescue Services.
The objective of this course is to familiarize and to provide young adults with basic skill training and
information that is necessary in caring for infants and children.
The course will be offered at the Firefighters Hall - 2616 Hibiscus Drive (next to fire station 57). The
Course will run from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and please be prompt. We will provide lunch, snacks and drinks.
We ask that you bring a smile, your creative ideas, a good joke, and your enthusiasm to become a responsible
babysitter.
This course is limited. If you cannot make the class you must contact our office at (386) 424-2445, at
least 48 to 72 hours in advance, to allow for someone else to participate. There is an answering machine
available for calls received after 4:30 p.m. and on weekends. We understand that emergency situations arise,
but every effort must be made to contact us.
If we do not receive a phone call, or if you fail to show for the course, it will not be the responsibility
of the Department to notify you of future courses. Your name will be removed from the roster and will not be
placed on future lists. You may, however, receive a full refund for the course.
We look forward to seeing you!
